Abstract

The article offers advices from Tony Vyn, an agronomy specialist of Purdue Extension, regarding corn planting. Vyn argues that farmers must be patient in the face of the forecast for a stormy and cooler season. He says that farmers must limit soil compaction in and below the seedbed and must not rush to plant corn even in the face of increase prices of corn. He adds that farmers need to ensure adequate nitrogen (N) fertilizer.
