Abstract
- The article presents a study which examines the mass balance and calving variations in the Glaciar San Rafael glacier in Patagonia, Argentina between 1950-2005. The study uses the reanalysis climate data from the National Centers for Environmental Research (CNEP) and National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) combined with meteorological observations. It is found out that the climate warming in Glaciar San Rafael does not change the glacier length of other calving glaciers in the region.
