Abstract
- The article discusses the architectural concept of the Mission Support System (MSS), which is a web service based tool for planning atmospheric research flights. It relates that the tool is a lightweight web service architecture that requires a commodity hardware and an Internet connection for operation. The article also covers the application of Web Map Service (WMS) standard for atmospheric prediction data.
