Abstract
- A biography of historian and missionary Bartholomew de Las Casas is presented. He was born in 1474 in Seville, Spain and studied at the University of Salamanca, where he became interested in the natives, through a young Indian. His earliest work was written in 1542, "A Very Short Account of the Ruin of the Indies." Moreover, his main work is a "General History of Indies" from 1492-1520.
