What future for the middle classes and ‘inclusive solidarity’ in South Europe?

The article presents the author's view on the plausibility of the inclusive solidarity in South Europe as argued by authors Bob Deacon and Shana Cohen. She says that the structural adjustment is created after financial neoliberalism and austerity that may likely decimate substantial parts of the middle sector and reduce the likelihood of future universal social policy regimes. She suggests that the inclusive solidarity scenario could provide a reconsideration of development discourse and policy.
