Abstract
- The article focuses on biodiversity conflicts and dispute management approaches. It cites the Moray Firth Seal Management Plan (MFSMP) which is a conflict management scheme that integrates the use of lethal predator control as a management strategy. It also notes a paper by J. R. A. Butler which argues that fishery stakeholder perceptions are a significant obstacle to the advancement of MFSMP. Moreover, it indicates the potential of seal-salmon fishery conflict to benefit from the MFSMP.
