Abstract

The article offers the authors views on the noble message of the late President Abraham Lincoln in the U.S. The author mentions the sympathy expressed by Americans for Russia during the Crimean war which has been urged in England as a reason for withholding sympathy from the federals. Moreover, it states that the criticism of America by England has presented the melancholy spectacle of prejudice and envy.
