Abstract
- Presents a study which described the results of in vitro susceptibility tests with ampicillin on 25 isolates of enterococci, a case of enterococcal endocarditis successfully treated with ampicillin and a review of selected literature pertaining to the treatment of this infection. Materials and methods; Minimal inhibitory concentration and minimal bactericidal concentration of ampicillin and penicillin G against isolates of enterococci; Antibacterial activity of ampicillin.
