Abstract: The article reports on the 12th annual "Food for the Body and Spirit" program sponsored by Black McDonald's Operators Association (BMOA) at Malcolm X College in Chicago, Illinois in November 2011. BMOA offered hot meals and free health screenings to individuals and families from 30 homeless shelters as a way of giving back to the commununity. Among attendees include Illinois Congressman Danny Davis, Cook County Board president Toni Preckwinkle, and Cook County Clerk of Circuit Dorothy Brown.
