Abstract
- The article discusses the highlights of Pivot25, a conference for mobile-phone software developers and investors held in Nairobi, Kenya in June 2011. Information on the social and economic impact of the advent of mobile phones in Africa is provided, along with how Africans are changing technology. A plan to construct the new Konza Technology City by the end of 2011 was revealed by Bitange Ndemo, permanent secretary of the Kenyan Ministry of Information and Communications.
