Abstract
- The article reports on the application of Analog Devices Inc.'s (ADI) microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) inertial sensing technology to Xsens Technologies' MVN system to produce accurate 3-dimension movement and kinematic output. It is noted that MEMS has allowed Roessingh Research & Development (RRD) to apply advanced motion tracking technology to competitive rowing. Also cited is the use of MVN to aid coaches in determining the movement, timing and behavior of individual rowers.
