Abstract

This article considers the impact of democracy on the economy in the United States. The article also discusses the phases of the threat by the Soviet Union, which concerns the United States economy. The purposes of the defense expenditures, shifts in consumer and industrial expenditures, and the failure of democracy in the United States are also discussed. The article suggests that the failure in democracy exists in education, juvenile delinquency, desegregation, agricultural readjustment, and labor monopolies.
