Abstract
- Executives are not pleased with our cities either as a place to live in or to work in--and many of them have given up hope of a change. Does business have a responsibility for the survival of our cities? Emphatically yes! say the HBR executives surveyed. But good intentions and vague actions are not enough to overcome the shoddy municipal politics that discourage executives from taking action. Our findings are reported by George Sternlieb, Research Fellow at M.I.T.-Harvard Joint Center for Urban Studies and Doctoral Candidate at the Harvard Business School. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
