Abstract
- Now that the annual meeting season is over, directors, top executives, and investors can well assign a high priority in their "thinking ahead" to the significance of the 1955 rash of fights for control of American corporations. Despite the banner headlines and columns of copy devoted to these contests in the press and periodicals, there is a hazard that much of significance to American enterprise will be overlooked or seen only in conventionalized and undiscerning terms. "In this article," says the author, "I will present some of my own interpretations, more as a stimulus to analysis than as a definitive appraisal." [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
