Abstract
- The "space race" and "missile lag" are significant issues in the current election campaign. What do executives think the existing space program is worth? What should be done in the future? To put this problem in review, we surveyed a representative cross section of HBR readers. Their replies indicate strong affirmative support for space research, but will they pay for it? They say they will, but what if practical results are scant and slow in coming? There is both problem and opportunity for vigorous leadership in this area. Professor Raymond A. Bauer, Harvard Business School, is the reporter. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
