Abstract

The article discusses the article "Obstetricians and Violence Against Women" by Sonya Charles. In the article the authors offer their opinions on several points which are raised in Charles' article, on alcohol use during pregnancy, on court ordered medical treatment for pregnant women and on the impact that gynecologists can have on the decision making process of women regarding health behavior.
