AIR TRANSPORTATION RATES.

The article focuses on air transportation rates in the United States. Many methods of regulation have been attempted during the history of air transportation, and the article calls for a new approach to the theory of airline rate determination. An analysis of the regulation problem and recommendations for a more comprehensive rate structure are presented, and the legislation that leading to the formation of the Civil Aeronautics Authority is discussed. Transportation rate systems based on a "fair return" method and volume of service are suggested.
