Abstract
- The article discusses how industries can create a labor recruiting policy through the statistical interpretation of routine employment data. The author reports that most industries, especially the mining and construction branches, encounter the problem of securing adequate labor to operate their plants or construction jobs. The study presented in the article focuses on one particular coal mine that found it costly to replace its workers from its high turnover rate. The author shows how he used statistical data from the company's past employment records to create a labor recruiting policy for the company.
