Abstract

The article offers the author's perspectives on the teaching of introductory probability and statistics to college students. The author asserts that statistics is the most vital course to teach in mathematics for life and for cultural literacy. She stresses that introductory probability statistics course based on mathematics is missing in the math education curricula.
