Abstract
- The article discusses the work of an American Marketing Association committee whose responsibility is to examine the problem of income classification. The author notes a general lack of standardization among income classification systems. According to the author, while some systems classify income by whole dollar amounts, others make divisions by descriptive terms. Also discussed is the need for sample control in income research. The author notes that social class differentiations should be taken into account.
