Abstract

Chapter 1 of the book "Research in Labor Economics," Volume 33, edited by Solomon W. Polachek and Konstantinos Tatsiramos is presented. It details the incidences and duration of activities of adolescents with daily time constraint during the period 2003 to 2006. It determines that teenagers in disadvantaged households spend more time in work activities and taking adult roles, but they also spend less time in nonclassroom educational activities.
