Abstract

The article discusses methods of post World War II manufacturer planning. Postwar planning is similar to long-range planning in business. Experts say effective postwar planning should account for the long-range factors which impact business operations. They recommend dividing the postwar plans into the short-term conversion periods and the post conversion period. Basic goals of postwar planning are outlined. The goals outlined include a consideration of the probable minimum sales volume required to support overhead costs, an estimate of the maximum reasonable sales expectancy, and a forecast of probable financial resources.
