The article offers information on several researches on fabric finishing and dyeing which will be presented in a meeting coordinated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture on September 23 and 24, 2011. One of the studies focuses on the organization of process parameters in polyester textured intermingled yarn process. Another interesting research that will be presented in the gathering deals with the dimensional stability of cotton mercerized at increased temperatures. There is also a study about the mercerization of open end yarns and ring spun.
