Abstract

The article presents research which focused on the ionic copper content of copperized dyes. The researchers offered a technical background of the chemistry of such dyes and mentioned that all cupric ion are derived from salts present in the original dye or from dye dissociation. They mentioned that the thermodynamic activity of cupric ion can be identified potentiometrically with the use of an ion selective electrode which exhibits a Nerstian responder under most conditions. They added that such method has been widely applied given that electrodes are commercially available.
