Abstract
- The article provides an overview of macroeconomic conditions in Mexico since the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). It provides estimates of income inequality in Mexico using alternative definitions of income. The contribution of different income sources to the evolution of inequality in Mexico is examined. The role of income labor and wage inequality is discussed to explain the dynamics of inequality.
