Abstract
- A polycrystalline ceramic of 0.5Bi<subscript>0.95</subscript>Dy<subscript>0.05</subscript>FeO<subscript>3</subscript>-0.5Pb(Fe<subscript>2/3</subscript>W<subscript>1/3</subscript>)O<subscript>3</subscript> was synthesized from a solid-state reaction method. At room temperature material exhibits both magnetic and electric dipolar properties simultaneously. Detailed X-ray diffraction analysis and Mössbauer effect studies have been done to determine the crystallographic structure and magnetic properties of 0.5Bi<subscript>0.95</subscript>Dy<subscript>0.05</subscript>FeO<subscript>3</subscript>-0.5Pb(Fe<subscript>2/3</subscript>W<subscript>1/3</subscript>)O<subscript>3</subscript>. T<subscript>N</subscript> temperature was estimated at around 600 K. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
