Abstract: This article provides an outlook for political and economic conditions in the Czech Republic from 2012 to 2016. The Economist Intelligence Unit Ltd. warns about tensions within the coalition government because of corruption scandals. The firm expects the economy to grow in 2012 as real gross domestic product (GDP) grows due rising domestic demand. It predicts the trade account to remain in surplus over the medium term and the budget deficit to fall during the period.
