Abstract

The article reports on a 100 million U.S. dollar block of British prime paper that traded to mostly U.S. accounts in October 2011. The activity is considered a sign of a sustained U.S. bid for British prime paper. It is noted that the deal is built mostly of bonds from larger British master trusts that include the Arkle and Permanent vehicles of the Fosse and Lloyds Banking Group of Santander U.K.
