Abstract

The article focuses on the concern of direct marketers on the postal increases overshadowing worries over the prices of printing materials. Chief operating officer Allen Abbott says that the price hike in printing materials is not a big concern as postage rates because the cost of commodity like paper goes up and down over time. According to the Postal Regulatory Commission, there is a potential for a 22% to 23% postage increase, since the standard mail flat category is not covering its costs.
