Abstract

The article discusses the Euro-dollar market, particularly how it developed and became so important to the world economy. It is noted that it has become feasible to make long-term investments in the market when capitalists had previously used the market in only the short-term. It is believed that this has happened due to the oil industry that is located primarily in Middle Eastern countries, which have invested heavily in the Euro-dollar market. The possibility of a financial crisis that might force some capitalists to withdraw their investments in the market is considered.
