Abstract

The article reports on the scientific productivity and gender performance in Chile's open and proprietary science systems. It examines the gender productivity differences between open and proprietary science regimes in the country. It assesses the level of participation of women in science in such countries as Spain, Japan and the U.S. The opinion of Paul A. David on proprietary science and open science is also cited.
