Appreciating assets: a new report from the International Association for Community Development (IACD).

In this article the author discusses an exploratory report from the International Association for Community Development (IACD), in collaboration with the charitable trust Carnegie UK Trust, titled "Appreciating Assets." She presents a critique of three core areas of asset-based approaches to community development, including transformation within the welfare state, the prioritization of community development methodology, and the limitations of a professional project of community development.
