Abstract
- The article presents a study on the dangers associated with deep knowledge observed in photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing ventures established in the U.S. from 1992 to 2007. The researchers gathered data using a method based on assembling career histories for every member of the top management team and measured the background of the chief executive officer (CEO) as a categorical measure. They also conducted multiple robustness checks aside from the primary analysis. They found that expertise and knowledge are critical assets that can offer advantages to many companies operating in stable environments.
