Abstract

The article presents several myths and facts about the digestive system. One of the myth is that consuming more fiber is always better. But, fiber can be troublesome for people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Another myth is that the digestive health supplements are superior to whole foods. Whole food sources of fiber are packed with vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients, which may also provide health benefits.
