Abstract
- The article focuses on the threat posed by inferior paper quality to the future of the printed book. According to Melissa Klug of Glatfelter, the declining quality of print versions of books could be neglected due to the publishing world's attention to e-books. Particular focus is given to Permanence Matters, an awareness effort that intends to reverse this trend. It notes that the effect of previous paper crises has been witnessed by librarians.
