Abstract
- The article discusses the Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) rating system for green buildings as established by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). It is mentioned that through LEED, the USGBC has delegated its powers for formulating rules and guidelines for green buildings across the U.S., however, the standards will be in accordance of the directions of USGBC and the U.S. Congress. Information on the effects of the privatization of green building system is also presented.
