Abstract
- The article examines the policies of Great Britain's Labour Party in regards to ownership rights. The author begins by explaining Labour's attachment to a form of stakeholder capitalism, which largely argues for financial sector reform in order to lower the cost of industrial finance. He then goes on to describe Labour's policies on asset-based welfare, which would provide a tax on inheritance that would ultimately benefit the poor. Economic developments related to Britain's income inequality and housing market during Labour's rule are explained as well.
