Abstract

The need to increase innovativeness of design process in pulp and paper industry is obvious. One of the methods is a systematic reuse of design experience accumulated in engineering companies. This article introduces a new method, case-based reasoning, which allows the designer to store, reuse and learn from the past experience. The various aspects of case-based reasoning application to design process in the pulp and paper industry projects are presented. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
