Abstract

Provides information on an experiment investigating the effects of Mo additions on the structure and magnetic properties of Sm2Fe(15.5-x)MoxAl1.5C1.5 alloys, by means of x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy. Methodology used to conduct the experiment; Why preserved crystalline structures in as-spun ribbons cannot be explained by the presence of the Mo-rich phase; Efficacy of the addition of Mo to enhance coercivity.
