Abstract
- The purpose of this paper is to present a multistep approach to textbook selection for a course in Principles of Marketing. Although this approach is recommended for a course that is taught by several instructors, the approach can be used by a single instructor, too. This approach has been tried successfully by a textbook-selection committee. The eight-steps identified range from determining the composition of the selection committee and its responsibilities to conducting a final review of the texts, adopting one, and then assessing the choice.
