Abstract
- The article presents letters from Allen W. Rucker, president of Eddy-Rucker-Nickels Co., and Solomon Barkin, research director at Textile Workers Union of America, regarding the Rucker Share-of-Production Plan. Rucker criticizes Barkin for his misrepresentation of the Rucker Share-of-Production Plan. Barkin claims that the plan is a profit-sharing plan and that corporate management has generally rejected the program. He likewise states that the purpose and operation of the Rucker Share-of-Production Plan is to replace the current wage system in the U.S. He also illustrates the impact of the plan on employees. Rucker, on the other hand, contends that the Rucker Share-of-Production Plan is not a profit-sharing plan and that it does not aim to replace the country's wage system. He likewise reiterated the elements and scope of the plan.
