Abstract
- The article focuses on Hormel Foods Corp., the maker of the pork product Spam. Information is provided on Hormel's plans for expansion into China due to declining sales in Japan caused by the March 2011 earthquake. Rick Bross, president of Hormel Foods International, explains how he can sell Spam for forty percent more than the price of local products due to the demand for American meat which is perceived as safer than Chinese meat.
