Abstract
- The article discusses a study aimed at performing material testing experiments of human anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and determining the values of material coefficeints in selected constitutive relations that give adequate approximation of mechanical behavior of ACL. Two tests were needed to determine the material coefficients as samples of human ACL were taken from fresh-frozen cadaveric knees. It suggests that the information on the mechanical properties of the ACL determined may be useful in various forms of constitutive models of the ACL.
