Abstract

The article looks at the influence of polypropylene fibers on the stability and durability of concretes exposed to high temperatures. According to the author, the stability of a structural concrete is reduced when exposed to high temperature and its materials undergo changes that impact their resistance to heat transfer. It notes that damages can be prevented through the addition of polypropylene fibers which can generate a permeable network and eliminate the occurrence of explosive spalling.
