Abstract

Sternal Cleft is a rare variety of congenital malformation seen in neonates. It is a potentially life threatening condition that may be associated with developmental anomalies of other visceral structures. Very few cases have been reported of this condition and experience with regard to time for intervention and management is limited. The authors report a case of partial sternal cleft, without any associated anomaly that had successful outcome after surgical reconstruction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
