Expanding services in a shrinking economy: desktop document delivery in a dental school library.

The article discusses research which was conducted at the library of the Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, Indiana to investigate how library staff could develop and promote a desktop document delivery service and then expand the service to a wide audience. Researchers found that through the careful analysis of capacity and need for the service, the library staff was able to successfully create and expand a desktop document delivery service without incurring additional costs to the library.
