Abstract

The article discusses a study which evaluates the effectiveness of the assessment of higher-level personnel. The study gathers data on a variety of different personnel positions in a variety of companies. The study uses correlation techniques, data analysis, and psychometric test. Results show that correlation with criterion found that ratings of employees consistently dropped in validity compared with the ratings in the final report. The study adds that the difficulty in establishing a job-performance prediction lies in job environment and scanty knowledge of the job.
