Abstract
- The author highlights the effective response of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) to problems or developments despite the outdated Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 (VSA) in Great Britain. Inducements have been introduced by the RCVS to oblige veterinary surgeons to undertake continuing professional development (CPD). The efforts of the RCVS to ensure the regulation of veterinary nursing are cited. She stresses the willingness of the RCVS to respond to changes in veterinary medicine.
