Abstract

The article discusses the study conducted by S. R. Wallace and J. Weitz regarding the criterion problem in relation with measurement and personnel judgments. It says that the criterion is an array of interests, motives, and skills along with specific behaviors appropriate to the job. It mentions the sequence of criterion selection including the idea of the psychologist on an existing problem, a fuzzy concept of an ultimate criterion formulated by the psychologist, and finding the required data. It adds that the article entitled "Dimensional Problems of Criteria," by E. E. Ghiselli recognizes criterion in which Ghiselli introduces the concept of the dynamic dimensions of criteria.
