Abstract
- The article presents a study on the development of temperature-sensitive poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm)/β-cyclodextrin-grafred polyethylenimine hydrogels for drug delivery. For the study, researchers purified NIPAAm through recrystallization from a mixed solvent of benzene and n-hexane. They found that the semi-interpenetrating network hydrogels resulted a higher swelling ratio at room temperature and manifester a more aggressive shrinking kinetics when the temperature was increased.
